The book, Footprints in the sands of time: The Foundation and Growth of the Edo State NMA (1991 – 2010), is a narrative of the progress of the Association for the first twenty years, from 1991 to 2010. The book chronicles the inception of the Association following the creation of Edo and Delta states from the defunct Bendel State of Nigeria.
The book narrates the prevailing circumstances around the Bendel NMA and highlights the influence of the Chapter in the national affairs of the Association. The book provides an account of the Chairmen that supervised the affairs of Edo NMA during the period under review.
The book chronicles the origin of the Edo NMA, asset sharing between Edo and Delta State branches and puts on record the achievements and challenges of the Association. It praises the Edo NMA for her contributions toward the resolution of the crises that engulfed the NMA from the mid to late 1990s to 2000.
The book recommends capacity building for doctors aspiring to lead the Association and to utilize dialogue as a better method for resolving misunderstandings in the health sector.
