Professor Esosa Bob-Osaze is the consummate teacher, researcher and mentor of several professors and students of Financial Management, Investment Analysis/ Portfolio Theory and Emerging Capital Markets. In 2017, he celebrated thirty years as a full tenured professor of the University of Benin, a UBA Plc distinguished Professor of Finance of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, a distinguished Professor of Capital Markets and The Stock Exchange at the University of Benin, Benin City, an Adjunct Professor of Finance at Veritas University, Abuja and Nassarawa State University, Keffi. He was also a Visiting Fellow of the Institute of Development Studies, University of Sussex, Brighton. He was adjudged the Best Professor of Banking and Finance in Africa by the Africa Leadership Awards in Port Louis, Mauritius in 2013. Professor Bob-Osaze has produced fourteen Ph.Ds, six of whom are now professors. Ten others whom he taught at the undergraduate and MSc levels are also professors in their own right. Professor Bob-Osaze is still teaching and conducting research while consulting for industry. He has served as a Director at the Securities and Exchange Commission, Abuja, Nigeria and as a Capital Market Adjudicator on capital market offences, malfeasance and defalcations as a Member of the Administrative Proceedings Committee of the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Professor Bob-Osaze is married to Barrister Faith Osaze with three children and six grandchildren.
